Spiritual Director
As Spiritual Director at Shades, Fred assists clients in finding meaning and purpose for their lives in recovery. Fred is an ordained minister with formal education and training in Spiritual Direction. Prior to coming to Shades five years ago, he served as a pastor, prison chaplain, hospital chaplain and missionary. As in psychotherapy and counseling, the Spiritual Director maintains objectivity and confidentiality along with compassion, insight, and interpretation. He becomes a spiritual friend who provides guidance in prayer and meditation, assisting clients in discerning and claiming the presence and promises of their Higher Power.
