Sandy has 13 years of experience in therapeutic settings, the last eight serving as a counselor at Shades of Hope. Prior to coming to Shades, Sandy served on the counseling staff at Serenity House in Abilene, TX. She received training in experiential therapies from Barbara Caraway and also trained with Pat Carnes, M.D. at the Meadows and with John Bradshaw and Pia Mellody. Her areas of expertise include working with Adult Children of Alcoholics, grief counseling, codependency and eating disorders, and relapse prevention.
